We are delighted to announce that we were finalists in the prestigious Social Worker Awards.  This is the first year that we were entered into these awards and out of the hundreds of nominees we were one of only two charities to be shortlisted.  The awards ceremony took place at the House of Lords in December 2011.

We were shortlisted in the 2011  Charity Times Awards in the prestigious Charity of the Year category.  The evening was a wonderful celebration of excellence in the voluntary sector and we were delighted to be a part of the celebrations.

We are delighted to announce that we were ‘highly commended’ at the National Charity Awards 2011.  The event was attended by over 1000 people including; charities, celebrities and MPs.

Berkshire East & South Bucks Women’s Aid was awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service – the MBE for the voluntary sector – for its work with medium to high-risk victims of domestic abuse.

Slough Quality Protects Award

The Slough Quality Protects programme has been developed by the Slough Children and Young People’s Voluntary Sector Forum to help organisations to demonstrate the standard and quality of their work in a coherent and consistent way.  We have achieved platinum standard.

2009 Leading Light 3-year accreditation by CAADA

This certification confirms that Berkshire East & South Bucks Women’s Aid’s IDVA service was visited by assessors from CAADA and was found by the Accreditation Panel on 23rd January 2009 to meet the standard of good and safe practice outlined in CAADA’s Leading Lights Key Criteria.

Continued good practice will keep this certificate valid until 23rd January 2012.
